How It Works

Bayou Microfund focuses on entrepreneurs who are looking for microloans from $1K-$15K. Interested candidates can go to our Applications page and apply for funding in two ways: 

1. Apply to Bayou Microfund directly for consideration. In addition to filling out the webform, the application process may include a personal interview. 
2. Apply for a Kiva crowdfunding loan with assistance and guidance from Bayou Microfund’s Kiva Houston Hub. Applicants should be prepared for a multi-step process.
